Angelo Gerald "Papa" Valle, Sr, 77, of Monticello, Indiana, laid down his working tools of life at 10:04 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at his residence.

Angelo was born on Thursday, May 12, 1949, in Hammond, Indiana to Angelo and Charlene M. (Carroll) Valle. They both preceded him in death.

On October 20, 1984, in the Unity Church in Munster, Indiana, he married Ann Marie Kobus. She survives.

Angelo was born and raised in Calumet City, Illinois, he attended TF North High School class of 1967. Soon after high school he was drafted to serve in Vietnam, where he later was honorably discharged from the U.S. State Army. He previously worked at US Steel South Works until it's closing. Angelo and his father owned / operated Valley Builders until 1988 when he and Ann Marie Opened AAA Valley Fire in Hammond, Indiana. Angelo was a life member of the Cesare Battisti Lodge #27 of Schererville, Indiana, Libanus Lodge #154 F. & A. M., Murat Shrine of Indianapolis, Indiana, founding member of the Knights of the Craft Masonic Riders Association, Moose Lodge of Chicago Heights, Illinois, and Kiwanis Club of Monticello, Indiana.  He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, woodworking, and was a master carpenter. Angelo was a devoted husband, father, and Papa who genuinely loved spending time with his family.

Angelo is survived by his wife Ann Marie Valle of Monticello, Indiana; children, Angela (husband Nick) Padilla, Jason (wife Pia) Valle, Ronald (wife Julia) Valle, Angelo (wife Jaime) Valle, Jr., Alexis (husband Brad) Switzer, Arieann (husband Fred) Rogers, Addison (husband CJ) Cole; grandchildren, Nico, Keanu, Alec, Marco, Angelo, III., Paige, Bradley, Archer, Steven, Brittany, Joseph, Sabrina, and Madison; brother, Rick (wife Teresa) Valle, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Angelo was preceded in death by parents.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. concluding with a Masonic Funeral Rites conducted by Libanus Lodge #154 at Deibels Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.

Graveside Committal with full military rites conducted by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard, on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Buffalo Cemetery of Buffalo, Indiana.
