Christian Bryce Gribneau,54, of Monticello, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at 8:31p.m. in the IU Health White Memorial Hospital.

Christian was born on Monday, August 31, 1970, in North Bend, Oregon, to Lois Marie (Baker) and Brian Clayton Gribneau, they survive.

Christian grew up in the Adirondack Mountains in northern New York state.  He graduated high school and went into the US Navy, serving his country proudly.  He later moved to Monticello where he called home with his parents.

Christian is survived by his parents, Lois M. and Brian C. Gribneau of Monticello, Indiana, companion Samantha "Sam" Weigle of Monticello, Indiana, sister, Naomi (husband Walter) Bahn, niece, Marion Bahm, nephews, Zacharias (wife Pratiksha) Bahm, Alexander (wife Kelly) Bahm, Domini Bahm, and Erich Bahm, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Christian was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 (Noon) on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Deibels Funeral Home, 601 Gordon Road, Monticello, Indiana.

Family and friends will then transition to Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church on Main St in Monticello for a Funeral Mass beginning at 1:00p.m., with Father Buckles officiating and will conclude with full military rites conducted by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard.

Burial in the Adirondack Mountains in the family plot at a later date.

Memorial donations may be given to Lois or Brian. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or the church.
