David Andrew "Dave" Huston, age 75 of Monticello, Indiana passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024 at his home following an extended illness.  He was born on January 15, 1949 in Huntington, Indiana to Norris and Lillie Grace (Schoonover) Huston.

On October 25, 1980, in Reynolds, Indiana, Dave married Lynn Diane Howard.   They celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary before his passing.

Dave graduated from Huntington North High School in 1967 and continued his studies at Ball State University, earning both a bachelor's degree and master's degree in music education.  Dave was a teacher and then professional driver, working for Purdue University and Tippecanoe County Public Library.  He was a longtime member of St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds.

Surviving family includes wife Lynn Huston of Monticello, sons Michael (& Leigh) Huston of Lincolnshire, Illinois and Davin H. (& Nicole) Huston of West Lafayette, Indiana, grandchildren, Allison (& Andrew) Elterman, Adam, Claire, Miles and Maizy Huston, great grandchildren, Charlotte and Theo Elterman, sister Sherry (& Philip Powers) Huston of Grove City, Ohio and sister-in-law Kathy T. Howard of Reynolds.

He was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents, Oliver A. and Bertha (Morrow) Huston, maternal grandparents Robert E. and Ella (Morrison) Schoonover, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmer R. and Marmel (Geier) Howard.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  Donations in memory of Dave can be made to the Huntington North High School Band or to the Monticello Public Library.
