Debrah Lynn Long, 66, of Monticello, Indiana, passed away at 8:41 a.m. Friday, November 29, 2024, at her residence with her loving family by her side.

Deb was born on Friday, December 12, 1957, in Charleston, West Virginia to Anna Moore and Denny Jo Hartwell.  They both preceded her in death.

In March of 1975 she married Walter E. Tichacek.  He passed in 1983. She then married Robert H. Long in 1991, they later divorced.

Deb was born and raised in South Charleston, West Virginia moving to Mt. Ayr, Indiana.  She attended the North Newton High School.  Deb started her family and was a hard-working mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time outdoors, especially gardening and hiking.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother, spending time with all her family, and making memories. Deb was known for drawing log cabins, doing crafts, and taking short trips. Deb was a member of Faith Covenant Fellowship Church of Monticello, Indiana where she loved her Lord and Saviour and making Sunday dinner with her family.

Deb is survived by her children, Lorri Varnadore, Tina Snider, Tracy (husband Jason) Whitaker, Sandy (husband Shane) McDivitt, Mark Tichacek, Sabrina (husband David) Berkshire, James (wife Kyra) Ward and Christian (husband Robert) St. Clair; grandchildren, Cody, Zach, Jacob, Mercedes, Jenni, Taylor, Alysa, Dakota, Valerie, Trevor, Cierra, Rocket, Dexter, Isabella, Isaiah, Elizabeth, Estella, Isaac, Yazmine, Natalie, Abygail, Chloe, Hayley, Aries, Nova, Paisley, Rylan, Jaxson, and Grayson and 25 great grandchildren, siblings, Walter Hartwell, Judith Hartwell, Charlie Hartwell, Brenda (husband Dave) Robling, Rose Hartwell, Joani Fritz, Paul (wife Denise) Hartwell, Jane Myers, and Roger Hartwell, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.

Deb was preceded in death by, parents, Anna (Moore) and Denny Jo Hartwell, daughter, Valerie Tichacek, grandson, Hayden Ward, siblings, Ruth Van Liew, and Dan Hartwell.

A gathering of family and friend will be Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 2:00 until time of service at 6:00 p.m. (EDT) at the Faith Covenant Fellowship Church located at 1010 W. Washington St, Monticello, IN 47960.

A celebration of life will be Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. (EDT) at the Faith Covenant Fellowship Church located at 1010 W. Washington St, Monticello, IN 47960, with Pastor Ross Osborn officiating.

Burial will follow on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 12:00 noon, (CST) in the Oakland Cemetery of Morocco, Indiana.
