Dolores D. "Dee" Widlowski, 82, of Monticello, Indiana passed away suddenly at 6:27 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2025, in the Indiana University Health White Memorial Hospital.
Dolores was born on Saturday, July 3, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois to William Lowrey and Rosile (See) Lowrey. They both preceded her in death.
On Friday, October 31, 1975, in Chicago, Illinois she married Richard R. Widlowski. Celebrating their 50th anniversary this past Halloween. He survives.
Dolores was born in Chicago and raised in Thorton, Illinois. She was a graduate of Thornridge High School. Dolores had worked in fast food industry in Schererville, Indiana. She quickly moved up and retiring from K-mart after 20 plus years as Department Head. Dolores had summered in Monticello, Indiana most of her life, they permanently called it home in 2005. Living the last 8 years on the golf course. She truly enjoyed her family, her pets, and being on the water. Dolores had bowled on several leagues and loved every minute of it.
Along with her husband, Dolores is survived by daughters, Tracey (husband Chris) McConkey of Leander, Texas and Rhonda (husband Fred) Stavitzke of Valparaiso, Indiana; grandchildren, Jordan, Caleb, Braden, Katelyn, and Garrett; brother, William (wife Jacklyn) Lowrey of St. John, Indiana; brother-in-law, Eugene (companion Anna Suttor) Widlowski of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, a great-great- niece, cousins, and friends.
Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law, Gladys Widlowski.
Per her wishes no public visitation or services are scheduled at this time, private family services will be held.
Burial will be private for the family.
Memorial donations may be given to ASPCA or Happy Tails Animal Rescue. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or can be mailed to (ASPCA Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929) or (8954 NW Shafer Drive, Monticello, IN 47960) C/O Widlowski family.
