Dorian Paris Hicks, 78, of Monticello, Indiana, died on Friday, August 7, 2026, at his residence.

Dorian was born on Friday, December 5, 1947, in Lebanon, Indiana, to Dorris Ottis Hicks and Lillie May (Lumsden) Hicks. They both preceded him in death.

Dorian was born and raised in Lebanon, Indiana and attended Lebanon High School. He went into the work force farming with his brother and father on the family farm.  He then went onto become a Boilermaker for the Union for several years.  Dorian also worked for Reith Riley doing bridge construction for many years.  He was an owner operator and drove semi as well for multiple years. He worked for serval years for White County Sheriff's Department as a Jailer, Reserve Deputy, and retired from White County Community Corrections as a Corrections Officers.  Dorian was a member of the Monticello Masonic Libanus Lodge #154 F. & A. M. Dorian loved yard work and pestering his neighbors. Most of all he enjoyed and loved his animals. 

Dorian is survived by his children, Ivy Willard of Filmore, Indiana, and Dustin Hicks of Sheridan, Indiana; grandchildren, Whitney (husband Busawo) Olorunfemi of Danville, Indiana, Grace (husband Canyon) Blackford of Coatesville, Indiana, Mallory (husband Connor) Andry of Westfield, Indiana, Adrianna Hicks of Westfield, Indiana; five (5) great grandchildren; sisters, Janet Gilliam of Gary, Indiana and Eva May Dent of Gulf Shores, Alabama; mother of  his children, Judy (husband James) Sexton of Danville, Indiana; ex-wife, Cynthia "Cindy" Hicks of Lebanon, Indiana several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. 

Dorian was preceded in death by his father, Dorris O. Hicks in 2005; mother, Lillie M. Hicks in 2010; brother, Jerry A. Hicks in 1990.

A private celebration of life will be held to celebrate Dorian's Life at a later date.

Burial will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana in the family plot.
