Francisca Franco, 74, of Monticello, Indiana died on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, in the IU Health Arnett Hospital of Lafayette, Indiana.

She was born on Thursday, July 14, 1949, in Mexico, to Pablo Muñoz and Adela Soto De Muñoz.

In October of 1978 in Chicago, Illinois she married Emigdio Franco. He survives.

Francisca had lived in the Monticello area since 1995, coming from Bensenville, Illinois.  She had worked for the old AO Smith of Monticello and Dwyer Instruments of Wolcott, Indiana for several years. Francisca was known for her excellent cooking and always fixed enough for everyone.  She had a huge passion for gardening and knitting when her health allowed it. Francisa was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved and enjoyed her grandchildren the most.

Francisca is survived by her husband, Emigdio Franco of Monticello, Indiana, her children Jeanette Franco and Erik (fiancee Amanda) Franco both of Monticello, Indiana, her four grandchildren, Landen, Alina, Cayden and Owen, mother, Adela Soto De Muñoz,  her sisters, Paulina Muñoz, Estela Muñoz, Maria (husband Silfredo) Ayala, and Valentina Muñoz, brother, Alfredo Muñoz and her fur baby Luna, who holds a special place in her heart.

Francisca was preceded in death by her father, Pablo Muñoz and two brothers, Jose Muñoz and Urbano Muñoz

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the Deibels Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.

A rosary service followed by the Rite of Christian Burial will be conducted in Spanish at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024, at the Deibels Funeral Home (601 Gordon Road, Monticello, Indiana) with Father Dan Duff officiating.  Private, family burial will take place at a later date.

Memorial donations may be given to the family.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or can be mailed to 601 Gordon Rd., Monticello, Indiana 47960 C/O Franco family.
