Georgetta "Dolly" Rzyski, 78, of Monticello, Indiana died on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 12:02 p.m. at the Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare Center, surrounded by her family.
Dolly was born on Monday, March 18, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to George Haydock and Dortha (Stevens) Haydock. They preceded her in death.
On June 15, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois she married Leonard "Lenny" Rzyski. He survives.
Dolly was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She later moved to Lansing, Illinois before coming to Monticello, Indiana in 1993. Dolly had worked for the old Kmart of Monticello and CDC resources for ten plus years. She enjoyed and loved being a caregiver for her consumers. Dolly loved to hang out with her family and friends. She always liked to have a big family gathering especially around the holidays. Dolly will be missed by her family and all that knew her.
Dolly is survived by her husband Leonard "Lenny" Rzyski of Monticello, Indiana; sons, Tommy Kilmer of Lafayette, Indiana and Bobby Dudek of Lafayette, Indiana; bonus daughter, Tammy (husband Doug) Fork of Monticello; grandson, Jordan Kilmer of Lafayette, Indiana, niece, Tina (husband Mann) Shirley of Florida; nephews, Joseph (wife Trisha) Rayburn of Monticello and Lance (wife Eryn) Jones of Indianapolis; several great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, great-great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Tammy Lynn Kilmer; granddaughter, Sierra Kilmer; grandson, Liam Kilmer; sister, Dorothea Stockdreher and brother-in-law, Gerchart "Dutch" Stockdreher.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery, Monticello, with Rev. Ian McMillan of the First Baptist Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Happy Tail Animal Shelter (P.O. Box 374 Buffalo, IN 47925).
