Obituary

Howard N. Cauble, 76, of Monticello, Indiana, died peacefully at 10:24 a.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024, at his residence with his loving wife and family by his side.

Howard was born on Wednesday, August 11, 1948, in Lafayette, Indiana to Woodrow and Norma (Viney) Cauble. They both preceded him in death.

On Friday, May 15, 1970, in Rev. Ross house in Monticello, Indiana, he married Virginia "Gini" (Blount) Cauble. She survives.

Howard was born and raised in Yeoman, Indiana.  He had worked at the old RCA factory for 18 years. Howard then went to work for Royal Wood (Rockland Flooring), and then Monon Trailer.  He retired from Jordan Manufacturing after 30 years. Howard was an avid Corvette enthusiast, having two of his own.  He was a member of the Tuesday Night Cruisers and loved to go to the cruise in and car shows. Howard loved to support and spend time with his grandchildren.

Howard is survived by his wife, Gini Cauble of Monticello, Indiana, sons, Mike (wife Donita) Cauble of Monticello, Indiana, and Jeff Cauble of Monticello, Indiana; grandchildren, Kaleb Cauble and Keali Cauble both of Monticello, Indiana, sisters, Nancy Norman of Monon, Indiana, Connie Cauble of Yeoman, Indiana, Diana Mull of Delphi, Indiana, Tammy (husband Damon) Baumgardner of Yeoman, Indiana, and Vickie Maxson of Monticello, Indiana, sister-in-law, Carol Blount of Monon, Indiana, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Howard was preceded in death by his, parents and several brothers-in-law.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Deibels Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.

A celebration of life service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Deibels Funeral Home of Monticello Indiana with Pastor Fred Criminger of Faith Covenant Fellowship officiating.

Burial will follow at the Bedford Cemetery of rural Monon, Indiana.

Memorial donations may be given to American Cancer Society.
