Ida Mae Murray, 80, of Monticello, Indiana, passed away at 7:40 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026, at the White Oak Health Campus with her family by her side.

Ida was born on Saturday, February 9, 1946, in Logansport, Indiana, to Ida (Starkey) Kirkham and Charles Kirkham. They both preceded her in death.

On September 2, 1963, in Logansport, Indiana she married Jesse Jay Murray, Sr. He died February 1, 2022.

Ida was born and raised in Logansport, Indiana, moving to White County in 1974.  She was a graduate of the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing on August 26, 1988.  Her proudest moments were attending to Home Health, for dependent children.  Enjoyed camping, catching more fish than Ray, puzzles, diamond painting, and especially loved playing BINGO. Most of all Ida loved being with her family and watching them all grow up.

Ida is survived by her 4 sons, Jesse (wife Denise) Murray, Jr., Richard (wife Carla) Murray, Dennis (wife Rhonda) Murray, and Raymond (wife Stacey) Murray all of Monticello, Indiana.; 17 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren; siblings, Rose Cook of Walton, Indiana, Shirley Stotler of Logansport, Indiana, Hazel King of Monticello, Indiana, Chucky Kirkham of Monticello, Indiana, Edith Collin of Washington State, and Ronald Kirkham of Kentucky; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ida was preceded in death by parents, husband, stepmother, Wanda Kirkham; siblings, Chuck Jason Kirkham, Kathy Taylor, Brenda Books, Christina Titus, Priscilla Harris, and Charlotte Harris.

Per Ida's wishes no visitation or services are scheduled at this time.

A private family services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Twin Lakes Pet Clinic of Monticello, Indiana, envelopes will be available at the funeral home or can be mailed to 3711 E. US Highway 24, Monticello, Indiana 47960 C/O Murray Family.
