Joseph A. "Joey" Yeary, 41 of Monticello, Indiana died unexpectedly on Monday, September 15, 2025, in Flint, Michigan.
Joey was born on Friday, March 30, 1984, in Bristol, Tennessee to Joey Yeary and Barbara (Clark) Scalf.
On Saturday, June 8, 2019, in Monticello, Indiana he married Rhonda M. West. She survives.
Joey was born in the Bristol, Virginia area spending his younger years in Virginia and moving to the Monticello area as a teenager where he attended the Twin Lakes High School. He was known for always tinkering around on anything and everything he loved staying busy. Joey loved spending time riding his Harley Davidsons over the years. He had been an over the road truck driver for the past 10 years and truly enjoyed seeing the countryside. He never knew a stranger and had a heart of gold, giving the shirt off his back and always giving his time to others. Joey would light up a room by just walking in and was known for putting a smile on everyone's face. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them. He was an exceptionally good father, husband, and his dad was his best friend.
Joey is survived by his wife, Rhonda M. Yeary of Monticello, Indiana; children, Cameron, Gracelynn, Willow, and Peyton; sister, Elizabeth Odham; brother, James "Albert" (fiancée Geneveave Miles) Utley; nieces and nephews, Melanie, Jayden, Jackson, David, Derek James, Kathline, Noellia, Emmalaya; mother-in-law, Jackie Peschke; father-in-law, Ron West; brother-in-law, Ronnie "Bub" West; several cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Mitchell Roberts.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Deibels Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.
A celebration of life service will be conduct at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2025, with Pastor Aaron Smith of the Sovereign Grace Bible Church of Monticello, Indiana officiating.
Burial will be private for the family.
Memorial donations may be given to the family.
