Kathy Hinshaw, 60 of Monticello, Indiana died at 4:29 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at her residence with her family by her side.

Kathy was born on November 19, 1963, to Carl Arthur Binnie and Diane Kathryn (Morgan) Binnie.  They both preceded her in death.

On July 25, 1992, in Lafayette, Indiana, she married Bill Hinshaw. He survives

Kathy was born in Chicago and grew up in West Lafayette, Indiana and had lived in the Monticello area most all of her life. She was a West Lafayette High School and Ball State University Graduate with a degree in Elementary Education. She was a devoted teacher for the Frontier School Corporation for 27 years, retiring in 2016. Kathy enjoyed traveling to Maine with her family.  She was an avid Card maker, making cards to send on every occasion. Kathy loved spending time with her dog Moji. Her proudest accomplishment was her children and never missed a game, a meet, or a match.  Kathy was a loving wife, mom, sister, aunt and friend.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Bill Hinshaw of Monticello, Indiana; daughter, Lauren Hinshaw and son, Will Hinshaw both of Monticello, Indiana; Brother, Mike (wife Kelley) Binnie of Keller, Texas; aunts, Cindy Collaric of Chicago, Illinois and Diane Hockett of Ann Arbor, Michigan; sisters-in-law, Vicki All, Ruth (husband Jim) Ware, and Kim (husband Roger) Hancock, all of Monticello, Indiana, and Kay (husband Mike) McLeland of Idaville, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Kathy was preceded in death by her, parents, Carl A. and Diane K. (Morgan) Binnie, mother and father-in-law, Lola R. (Cahill) & William Richard "Dick" Hinshaw.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Deibels Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.

A Celebration of life service will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024, at the Deibels Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana with family and friends officiating.

Private family burial in the Hughes Cemetery of rural Monticello, Indiana.
