Kenneth E. "Ken" Wehner,79, of Monticello, Indiana, born into eternal life on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 10:15 p.m. in the Monticello Healthcare Center of Monticello, Indiana.

Ken was born on Monday, February 28, 1945, in Merrillville, Indiana to Lawrence and Pauline (Kahler) Wehner.  They both preceded him in death.

On April 24, 1971, at the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Merrillville, Indiana. he married the love of his life Sharon Andrews. She survives.

Ken started working out shortly out of high school for Pullman Standard as a draftsman for the railroad cars.  That is where he met his wife of 53 years. Ken loved cars and watching racing.

Ken is survived by his wife Sharon Wehner of Monticello, Indiana; daughter Julie (husband Brian) Riley of St. Peters, Missouri; granddaughter, Chrissy Riley; sister, Jeanne (husband Allen) Collins of Colorado; brothers, Jack (wife Judy) Wehner of Crown Point, Indiana and Daivd (wife Diana) Wehner of California; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Pauline Wehner.

A rite of Christian burial funeral mass will be conducted at the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Daniel Duff, officiating.

A private family burial will follow.

Memorial donation may be given to the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or can be mailed to 601 Gordon Rd., Monticello, Indiana 47960 C/O Wehner Family.
