Obituary

Larry James "Chip" Warner, 72 of Monticello, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 12:19 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Delphi, Indiana, with his family by his side.

Chip was born on Sunday, May 25, 1952, in Lafayette, Indiana to Margaret Irene (Boatright) and Paul Warner. They preceded him in death.

On June 11, 1994, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, he married Jeanette Hutton. She survives.

Chip was raised in Monticello, Indiana.  He was a 1970 graduate of Twin Lakes High School in Monticello, Indiana.  Chip was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1972 until 1974 stationed in Korea. Upon returning to Monticello, he went to work for Bill Luse Enterprises.  In 1988 he went to work for Brim Concrete retiring in 2020.  Chip would be remembered for working out at Indiana Beach, most known for running the go-kart track. Chip was an avid fisherman (fresh and salt water), mushroom hunting, and hunting in general. He was avid car enthusiast owning a Shelby Mustang, a '66 Corvette, and ended up with his 2020 Hellcat Red Eye. Chip was a devoted family man and cherished his grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his wife, Jeanette Warner of Monticello, Indiana; sons, Nathan Paul (Emily) Warner of Chicago, Illinois and Jeremy Paul (Anna) Warner of Venice, Florida; daughter, Destiny Faith Geisler of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren, Desa Tyre Geisler, Delonie Kyre Geisler, and Bianca Buckley; Siblings, Candy (Mark) Minniear of Reynolds, Indiana and Robert "Jum" (Deb) Warner of Monticello, Indiana, and Karolyn Larson of Danville, Illinois; sister and brothers-in-law, Patrica Dyanne Hutton, Kenneth Lord, Michael Lynn (Rebecca) Hutton, and Barry (Neal) Hutton; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Margaret Warner; brothers, Lyle, Bill and Jerry Warner; sister-in-law, Sandra Lord.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the Deibels Funeral Home, 601 Gordon Rd., Monticello, Indiana.

A celebration of life service with full military rites will be at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the Deibels Funeral Home, Monticello, Indiana, with family and Monticello Veterans Honor Guard officiating.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children Hospital or Tunnel To Towers Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or can be mailed to 601 Gordon Rd. Monticello, Indiana, 47960 C/O Warner Family.
