Linda Diane Weaver, 76, of Monticello, Indiana, formerly of Oxford, Indiana passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, surrounded by family.  She was born Wednesday, December 4, 1948, in Kokomo, Indiana to Kenneth and Patricia (Amos) Sink.  They preceded her in death.

On October 17, 1969, in Oxford, Indiana, Linda married Gerry Weaver and honeymooned in New Orleans.  Together they celebrated 55 years of marriage before her passing.

As a child, Linda and her family moved to Rochester, Indiana and graduated from Rochester Schools in 1966 where she enjoyed learning French and was involved with cattle in the county and state fairs.  She attended Purdue University to study education.  Linda was a substitute teacher for the Benton Central School Corporation and worked several years as the secretary at Asgrow Seed in Oxford, and then for Ceres Solutions Fertilizer in Tempelton.

Linda and Gerry loved to travel and take cruises.  They had visited many places including cities in Italy and Montecarlo where she had the opportunity to use her French language skills. Linda was a longtime fan of Elvis and his music.

Surviving family includes her husband, Gerry Weaver; one sister, Karen (fiancé Tim Thomas) Sink of Monticello; two brothers, Mike Sink and Steve (Tina) Sink, all of Lafayette; and nephews and niece, Jay, Kent, Brian and Beth and her puppy Paolo.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew, Chad Sink.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 4-6p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Deibels Funeral Home, 601 Gordon Road, Monticello, Indiana.
