Mark A. "Ace" Black, 65, of Burnettsville, Indiana died unexpectedly on Friday, July 26, 2024, at his residence.

Ace was born on Wednesday, April 15, 1959, in Lafayette, Indiana to Bobby L. and Edna M. (Wood) Black. They both preceded him in death.

Ace was born and raised in Burnettsville, Indiana. He had been an over the road truck drive most all of his life.  Ace enjoyed spending time with friends and family.  Ace was known for his love of guns and the great outdoors. He spent countless hours and days sitting around the campfire.  He especially loved mushroom hunting, grilling out, and hanging with his friends. Ace will be extremely missed by his great nephews who he/they absolutely adored.

Ace is survived by his sisters, Pam Synder of Burnettsville, Indiana and Kimberly "Kim" (husband George) Tam of Monticello, Indiana; nieces, Tiffany (husband Jon) Noe and Ashley Black, both of Monticello, Indiana; nephew, Parker Drazer of Monticello, Indiana; great nephews Knox Noe and Nash Noe both of Monticello, Indiana.

Ace was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby L. and Edna M. (Wood) Black; brothers, Jerry Black, Bobby L. Black, Jr., Charles S. Black; nephews, Etrick Willoughby and Derek Willoughby; brothers-in-law, Steve Turner and Dick Synder.

Per his wishes he wanted to be donated to science and help others, no visitation or services are scheduled for the public, a private family service and burial will be held at the Davis Cemetery of rural Burnettsville, Indiana, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the Deibels Funeral Home or can be mailed to 601 Gordon Rd., Monticello, Indiana 47960 C/O Ace Black.
