Mary Lou Ezra, 92, of Buffalo, Indiana, passed peacefully at 12:44 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in the White Oak Health Campus Legacy Building.
Mary Lou was born on Monday, May 16, 1932, to William Zeek and Minnie (Boze) Zeek. They both preceded her in death.
On Friday, March 2, 1951, in the Buffalo Christian Church of Buffalo, Indiana she married Paul L. Ezra. He preceded her in death on Friday, January 23, 2009.
Mary Lou lived in the Pulaski - White county area all her life. She graduated from Buffalo High School in 1950. She and Paul wintered in Mexico and Florida for several years. She was a member and attended the Buffalo Christian Church where she was Baptized in 1969. She loved her family and spending time and traveling with them. She knitted several sweaters for her children and grandchildren. She was known for making delicious apple dumplings and noodles.
Mary Lou is survived by sons, Leslie "Les" (wife Deb) Ezra and Mike (wife Cindy) Ezra, both of Buffalo, Indiana; grandchildren, Brandon (wife Kristina) Ezra, Nicole (husband Matt) Baker, Kristen (husband Travis) McDowell, and Travis (Tawni) Ezra; great grandchildren, William, Isaac, Grace, Isla, and Henry Baker, Brooklyn and Abbi Ezra, Sophia, Irene, and Joshua Ezra, Declan and Sadie McDowell, sister, Elizabeth "Midge" Mattix.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, William and Minnie (Boze) Zeek, husband Paul L. Ezra, grandson, Rolan Ezra, sisters, Erma Gene Day, Zelma Ross, Alice Jean Merriman, Jennie Zeek, Vivian Frushour, Edith (Peters) Nicoll, Marian Benson, brothers, Orvill "Bud" Zeek, and Jack Zeek.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Buffalo Christian Church 303 St. Rd 16, Buffalo, Indiana 47925.
A celebration of Mary Lou's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Buffalo Christian Church with Pastor Harold Rutledge officiating.
Burial will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery of Buffalo, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be given to Buffalo Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or can be mailed to P.O. Box 183, Buffalo, IN 47925.
