Michael Lynn "Mike" Hutton, 72, died on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 1:25 p.m. at the Monticello Assisting Living and Healthcare of Monticello, Indiana with his loving family by his side.
Mike was born on September 6, 1953, in Logansport, Indiana, to Charles Burdette and Rita Faye (Clem) Hutton. They both preceded him in death.
In June of 1988 in the Sitka Baptist Church of rural Monticello, Indiana, he married Rebecca Lehman. She survives.
Mike was a 1971 graduate of the North White High School of Monon, Indiana. He was a proud member of the North White Football Team making Midwest Conference. Mike attended Indiana Central College, now known as the University of Indianapolis on a football scholarship. He worked at Pilsbury in Reynolds, Indiana, Monon Trailer of Monon, Indiana, and Sealy in Rensselaer, Indiana. Mike enjoyed coaching his sons Little League team Hites Hardwood. He collected baseball cards and had a nice collection over the years. Mike loved the outdoors and could be found hunting or fishing in his spare time. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and New York Yankees fan, and had been his entire life.
Mike is survived by wife, Rebecca Hutton of Monticello, Indiana; children, Joseph "Joe" (wife Renee) Hutton of Mulberry, Indiana, Jennifer "Jen" (husband Mike) Cotner of Fremont, Ohio, Ben (wife Jessica) Hutton of Monticello, Indiana, Sarah Lewis of Flora, Indiana, Brian Torrence of Logansport, Indiana, and Brittany (husband Jake) Bass of Peru, Indiana; grandchildren, Chelsea, Charlie, John, and Isabelle (partner Kyanna), Jake and Makayla, Audra, Katilyn, and Gracie Creque, Alora, Olivia, Scarlett, Maverick, Berkley, and Creed, Cody (partner Haley), and Piper, Ashlyn, Adilyn, and Alayna; great-grandchildren, Adora and Anastein; siblings, Dyanne Hutton of Monticello, Indiana, Jeanette Warner of Monon, Indiana, and Barry (Neal Arnold) Hutton of Idaville, Indiana; brother-in-law, Ken Lord of Monticello, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, twin brothers, sister, Sandy Lord, and brother-in-law, Chip Warner.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Sitka Baptist Church of rural Monticello, Indiana.
Burial will be private for the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Sitka Baptist Church of rural Monticello, Indiana.
