She hired on as a bank teller in 1974 at Liberty Bank in Broadview and retired in 1991 as Vice President. In 2017, Monica moved back to the Midwest to Dayton, Indiana. In April of 2023, she moved into Mulberry Health.
Monica is survived by her children, Mark (Maryanne) Romano of Downers Grove, Illinois, Mary Romano of Columbia Falls, Montana, Eric Romano of Watertown, Wisconsin, Loretta (Chris) Metra of Essex, Maryland, Carol Romano of Lafayette, Indiana and Paulette (Joe) Oderio of Dayton, Indiana; thirteen (13) grandchildren, twenty-two (22) great-grandchildren, two (2) great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
