Paula Lynn (Hoffman) Miller, 59, of Wolcott, Indiana died peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2025, at home, surrounded by family.
She was born Tuesday, February 1, 1966, in Griffith, Indiana to Shirley (Will) and Denis Hoffman. They both preceded her in death.
On January 24, 1987, in the Presbyterian Church of Monticello, Indiana, she married Doran Miller. He survives.
Paula was a 1984 graduate of the Twin Lakes High School of Monticello, Indiana. She then met Doran at Golden West Pancake House in Monticello, Indiana. Paula worked for the Monticello Police Department as a dispatcher and then went to work for Bassett Rotary Tool of Monticello, Indiana until it closed in 2002. She then worked for Indiana Animal Health, Tri-County High School and Monsanto (Bayer) retiring after 15 years. Paula was a member of the Wolcott Methodist Church of Wolcott, Indiana. She was a huge animal lover including horses, dogs, and all animals. Paula was a beautiful artist, Doran and she played in many softball leagues over the years, and enjoyed camping with the kids, and grandkids. Paula will be known and remembered for her kind and warming heart and sense of humor. She would do anything for anyone.
Paula is survived by her husband, Doran Miller of Wolcott, Indiana; daughter, Kirstie (husband Paden) Clements of Fowler, Indiana; son, Kyle (wife Taylor) Miller of Wolcott, Indiana; grandchildren, Jensen, Kensington, Jaxtyn, Tatum, and Jarren; sisters, Pam Bridge of Idaville, Indiana, Diana (husband Steve) Sundy of Burnettsville, Indiana, and Shirley Ann (husband Mike) Duncan of Delphi, Indiana; brothers, Denis (wife Dianne) Hoffman of Surprise, Arizona, David (wife Angie) Hoffman of Monticello, Indiana; aunt, Pat Potter of Lafayette, Indiana and Helen Gonzales of Gary, Indiana; uncle, Michael Will of St. Pete, Florida; sister-in-law, Luann (husband Phillip) Johnson of Wolcott, Indiana; brothers-in-law, Denny (wife Lana) Miller of Remington, Indiana, Darryl (wife Patty) Miller of Monticello, Indiana, Darwin Miller of Wolcott, Indiana, Deon (wife Sherri) Miller of Wolcott, Indiana, and Dwain Miller of Wolcott, Indiana; several stepbrothers, stepsisters, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley (Will) Brady and Denis Hoffman; stepfather, Russ Brady; brother, Russell D. Brady; several aunts, uncles, a stepbrother and one niece.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, and 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Wolcott Methodist Church of Wolcott, 300 S. Range St., Wolcott, IN 47995.
A celebration of life service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Wolcott Methodist Church of Wolcott, Indiana. Pastor Carl "Yog" Adams of Goshen, Indiana. Burial will follow in the Wolcott Cemetery of rural Wolcott, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Wolcott Harvest Call "Food Distribution" or Remington Food Pantry. Envelopes will be available at the church or can be mailed to Harvest Call 5788 W. US 24, Wolcott, Indiana 47995 or Remington Food Pantry 1 N. Ohio St, Remington, IN 47977.
