Robert H. "Rob" Long, 62, of Reynolds, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 8:18 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana, with his family by his side.

Robert was born on Thursday, June 4, 1964, in Rensselaer, Indiana to Orval Raymond and Annie Estelle (Hall) Long. They both preceded him in death.

In 1991 he married Debrah Lynn (Hartwell) Tichacek, they later divorced, and then he married Lori Warren, they both preceded him in death.

Rob was born and raised in Jasper County, Indiana.  He attended Rensselaer Central High School in Rensselaer, Indiana. Rob then went to serve his country in the U.S. Marine Corp.  He returned back home where he met his first wife Debrah.  Rob was a welder by trade and owned and operated his own Welding Shop in Chalmers, Indiana. He also helped run his parents pet store in Rensselaer, Indiana for many years. Rob enjoyed driving truck for many years owning his own truck and retiring when he got sick. Rob was an active member of the Christ Fellowship Church of Monticello, Indiana.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, and shooting guns.  Rob was a devoted father, grandfather, and brother.  He will always be remembered for his Sunday Dinners; he loved to cook.

Rob is survived by his children, Christian (husband Robert) St. Clair, Lorri Varnadore, Tina Snider, Tracy (husband Jason) Whitaker, Sandy (husband Shane) McDivitt, Mark Tichacek, Sabrina (husband David) Berkshire, James (wife Kyra) Ward; grandchildren, Cody, Zach, Jacob, Mercedes, Jenni, Taylor, Alysa, Dakota, Valerie, Trevor, Cierra, Rocket, Dexter, Isabella, Isaiah, Elizabeth, Estella, Isaac, Yazmine, Natalie, Abygail, Chloe, Hayley, Aries, Nova, Paisley, Rylan, Jaxson, and Grayson and 26 great grandchildren; sister, Ethel Jefferson; brothers, George Long, John Long, James Long, and Daniel Long; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.

Robert is preceded in death by, parents, Orval R. and Annie E. Long; sister, Deborah J. Stepp; brother, Richard Long

A gathering of family and friend will be on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. at the Christ Fellowship Church located at 570 Maple St, Monticello, IN 47960.

A celebration of life will be Monday, July 20, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Christ Fellowship Church located at 570 Maple St, Monticello, IN 47960, with full military honors provided by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard and Pastor Bob Ehle officiating.

Burial will be private for the family.
