Ruth Ann Ware, 72, of Monticello, Indiana, died at 11:54 a.m., Saturday, December 7, 2024, in the IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, with her loving family by her side.

Ruth was born on Thursday, October 9, 1952, in Logansport, Indiana to Lola R. (Cahill) and William Richard "Dick" Hinshaw.  They preceded her in death.

On Saturday, January 26, 1974, in Monticello, Indiana she married her high school sweetheart James F. "Jim" Ware and recently had just celebrated their 50th anniversary.

Ruth was a 1971 graduate of Twin Lakes High School of Monticello. She then went to Indiana State University for a year.  Ruth worked for the old RCA Plant of Monticello, Indiana, and she then went back to Cosmetology School in Lafayette, Indiana.  She owned and operated Artistic Hair Studio of Monticello for over 30 years, retiring in 2021. Ruth was known for country dancing and very active with a local group Isis Dancers of Lafayette, Indiana. She also belonged the Lowchen Club of America. Ruth enjoyed touring and showing dogs with her sisters Vicki and Kay.  Ruth and Jim had enjoyed camping for years and she loved spending time with him and her family.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Jim Ware of Monticello; son Nathan Ware; sisters, Vicki All of Monticello, Kay (husband Mike McLeland) of Idaville, Indiana, Kim (husband Roger) Hancock of Monticello; brother, Bill Hinshaw of Monticello; sister-in-law, Bev Ware of Monticello; brothers-in-law, Bill (wife Judy) Ware of Lafayette, Indiana and Jerry (wife Sheryl) Ware of Logansport, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; William Richard "Dick" Hinshaw; sister-in-law, Kathy Hinshaw and brother-in-law, Tom All.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. at the Deibels Funeral Home, 601 Gordon Road, Monticello, Indiana.

A celebration of life service will follow at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Deibels Funeral Home of Monticello with family and friends officiating.  Private family burial was in the Hughes Cemetery, Monticello, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Lowchen Club of America. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or can be mailed to LOWCHEN club of America, LCA Treasurer 30753 Molly B Road, Lewes, DE 19958 C/O the Ware family.
