Sandra "Sandy" K. Weigle, 75 of Monticello, Indiana, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 12:08 p.m. at her residence in rural Monticello, (Norway area), Indiana.
Sandy was born on June 21, 1949, in White County, Indiana to Lillie Mae "Kit" (Reynolds) Neely - Wilhelm and James D. Neely, they both preceded her in death.
In 1968 she married William "Bill" H. Weigle, they later divorced, he survives.
Sandy was born and raised in Monticello, Indiana. She was a 1967 graduate of the Twin Lakes High School of Monticello, Indiana. Sandy loved baseball especially the Chicago Cubs. She was an avid Garfield lover. Sandy could be found out and about usually at the VFW, have a cocktail and the occasional pull tab with her children. Sandy was known for doing her crossword puzzles and playing solitaire. Most of all Sandy loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Sandy is survived by her daughter, Samantha "Sam" L. (Christian) Weigle of Monticello, Indiana; son, Patrick D. Weigle of Monticello, Indiana; grandchildren, Tabitha "Tabby" Potts, Cheryl (Stephen) Potts, Cody Weigle and Ciera Weigle; great-grandchildren, Ricardo Desantiago, and Grace Plew; sister, Christine Neely Puckett of Lafayette, Indiana; brother, Gary (Julie) Neely of Monticello, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Sandy is preceded in death by her, parents Lillie Mae "Kit" (Reynolds) Neely - Wilhelm and James D. Neely.
A memorial celebration will be held at 3:00p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Monticello VFW Post 2231, 503 N 3rd St, Monticello, Indiana.
A private family burial was held in the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery of rural Monticello, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers memorial donation can be made to VFW Post #2231 of Monticello, Indiana, envelopes will be available at the funeral home or can be mailed to 601 Gordon Rd., Monticello, Indiana 47960 C/O Weigle Family.
