Sharon R. Stark, 78, of Monticello, Indiana, passed away at 7:08 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the Indiana University Health Arnett Hospital, Hospice wing with her loving family by her side.
Sharon was born on Tuesday, October 7, 1947, in Lafayette, Indiana, to Ruth Maxine (Kraay) and Rudolph Lee "Rudy" Hahn. They both preceded her in death.
On January 4, 2008, in rural Delphi, Indiana and married Dean W. Stark, he survives.
Sharon was a Twin Lakes High School graduate of 1965. She then went onto RCA as the Union Secretary. Sharon helped establish Twin Lakes Gymnastics - now known as Bella Rose Gymnastics - in Monticello, Indiana. She later became a U.S. Gymnastics Judge. Sharon was employed by Station 66 and Stark Oil, retiring in 2007. Thereafter, she began driving a school bus for Twin Lakes School Corporation. Sharon was known for her crafting, refurbishing, woodworking, and antiques. She and Dean owned and ran Memory Lane Antiques. She was an avid fan of NASCAR, traveling all over in their camper. Sharon enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Purdue Boilermakers and the Indianapolis Colts.
Sharon is survived by her husband Dean Stark and service dog, Buddy, of Monticello, Indiana; children; Tim (wife Kim) Garbison of Attica, Indiana, Jim (wife Kim) Garbison of Monticello, Indiana, and Tracy (husband Matt) Austin of Birdseye, Indiana, Nicole Stark of Chicago, Illinois and Jarrett (wife Melissa) Stark of Fairfax, Virgina; grandchildren, Isaac Austin, Claire Garbison, Nic Garbison, Guy Austin, Iain Garbison, Brice Austin, Cole Garbison, Kiera Stark, Caiden Stark, Cian Stark, Max Aral, and Olivia Aral; sister, Vicky (husband John) Duncan of Monticello, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Rudy Hahn, and Ruth M. (Kraay) & Willie Lee Gish; and sister, Nancy Felker.
Per Sharon's wishes no visitation or services will be held for the public; private services will be held by the family.
Memorial contributions may be given to Bella Rose Gymnastics (formerly Twin Lakes Gymnastics). Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or can be mailed to 1520 S. Airport Rd. Monticello, Indiana 47960 in care of Sharon Stark.
