Shelba J. (Larimer) Reynolds, 89, of Monticello, Indiana, was called to her eternal home at 4:46 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the IU Health White Memorial Hospital, with her loving family by her side.
Shelba was born on Monday, May 25, 1936, in Monticello, Indiana to Orval J. Larimer and Goldie Belle (Johns) Larimer. They both preceded her in death
On Saturday, January 10, 1953, in Brookston, Indiana, she married Donald E. "Don" Reynolds, he died on Wednesday, August 22, 2012.
Shelba attended the Yeoman High School. She had worked off and on at many places around the Monticello area, including Bryan Mfg., RCA, and retiring from Monticello Spring. Shelba loved and enjoyed her flower garden and sprucing up her yard with decorations. She was member of the First Baptist Church of Monticello, Indiana. Shelba enjoyed the outdoors with her late husband Don and they spent most of their time camping and fishing. She loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and walking her dog Callie.
Shelba is survived by daughter, Wilsennia (husband Wade E.) Rice, Jr. of Burnettsville, Indiana; son, Mike (wife Becky) Reynolds of Monticello, Indiana; grandchildren, Tonya (husband Ken) Asbury, Rosealee (husband Rick) Lucas, Wyatt Rice, Lance Reynolds, and Andy (wife Taylor) Reynolds, three (3) step-grandchildren, Jasmine, Mike, and Rikki, great grandchildren, Tyler (wife Molly) Barnes, Kendra Asbury, Colby, and Ariana, great-great-grandson, Ryder Wade Barnes, several step great grandchildren, half- sisters, Rita Foss and Janet Mead, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald E. "Don" Reynolds, and son, Ivan Reynolds, brother, Hobart Larimer, and sister Kay Fording.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the First Baptist Church 409 S. Beach Dr., Monticello, Indiana 47960
A celebration of life service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the First Baptist Church 409 S. Beach Dr., Monticello, Indiana 47960, with Pastor Ian McMillian officiating.
Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery of rural Monticello, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family. Envelopes will be available at the church or can be mailed to PO Box 63 Burnettsville, IN 47926 C/O Shelba.
