Terri Kaye Altman, 64 of Chalmers, Indiana, passed very unexpectedly at 6:32 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at her residence.
She was born on Monday, July 17, 1961, in Monticello, Indiana to Wayne N. Weaver and Shirley J. (Vaughn) Weaver. They both preceded her in death.
Terri was born and raised in Idaville, Indiana. She attended Twin Lakes High School and later graduated from Ivy Tech with a degree in accounting. She has been a bookkeeper and bartender most all of her life. She enjoyed work and loved all of her client's at Amvets post 91, American Legion post 81, and VFW post 2231 all of Monticello, Indiana. She truly enjoyed bead work, wire art, and quilting. Terri was most of all a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
Terri is survived by her husband, Jason DePue of Chalmers, Indiana; children, Mike (wife Natalie) Altman of Battle Ground, Indiana, Mandi (husband Cory Rice) Altman of Brookston, Indiana, and Robert DePue of Logansport, Indiana; grandchildren, Ashleigh (husband Paco), Braxton (fiancée Arsie), Cash, Emery, Abigail, Oliver, and Jackson; great grandson, Akiare; mother, Sheriel Weaver of Idaville, Indiana; siblings, Todd Weaver, Tonya Lakey, Angie (husband Scott) Minix, Traci (husband Glen) Minix, Tony Weaver, and Debbie (husband Todd Downs) Conover; brother and sisters-in-law, Jeff DePue and Jenifer DePue; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Shirley Weaver, and sister Tammy Conrad.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Deibels Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.
Burial will be private for the family.
Memorial contributions may be given to the VFW Post #2231. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or can be mailed directly to the post C/O Terri Altman Memorial.
