Timothy W. Grimes, 57, of West Lafayette, formerly of Americus, Indiana, past peacefully at 11:02 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2026, in the Heritage Healthcare Center of West Lafyette, Indiana.

Tim was born on Saturday, May 18, 1968, in Lafayette, Indiana to Richard D. and Karen Sue (Wray) Grimes. They both preceded him in death.

Tim was a 1986 graduate of Harrison High School of West Lafayette, Indiana. He worked at K-mart as a greeter in West Lafayette and Greenbush Industries of Wabash Center of Lafayette, Indiana. Tim loved being outside in the sun and watching movies. Tim had resided at Tippecanoe Villa for a short while and went to a group home in Lafayette.  The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful and thoughtful care that Lakisha Harris his caretaker provided him.

Tim is survived by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Russell Grimes and Kenneth Grimes.  

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Deibels Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana. 

Burial will be private for the family.
