Timothy J
"Tim" Frank
February 19, 1948 – April 27, 2024
Timothy "Tim" Frank, age 76 years of Monticello, Indiana died at his home on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Tim was born in Somerset, Indiana to Bill and Peggy (Brodt) Frank. He was a graduate of Southwood High School and attended Indiana Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He met his future wife in the summer of 1968. He and Karen Nicols were married on April 15, 1972, and together celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary before his passing.
Tim's first vocation began on his bicycle, delivering the Wabash Plain Dealer newspaper in the town of Old Somerset. At the age of 11 years old he was awarded a bus trip to Washington, D.C. for his efforts. After college and a few years as a drummer in various rock bands, Tim settled into a 13-year career in the banking business. Shedding his suit and tie, for the next 28 years, Tim was instrumental in the development and growth at Horizon Veterinary Service as Practice Manager. Tim had a strong sense of duty to his country. He served eight years in the United States Army Reserves. In his later years, he also served as Chaplain for the Monticello American Legion Post 81, assisting in laying to rest his fellow members of the armed forces. Tim's interests and curiosities were many. He was just as happy playing the drums as he was camping with Karen and friends. He felt most at peace at their beloved cabin in Canada fishing, exploring and investigating the unique geology of the islands.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Karen, brother Wes (& Linda) Frank, sisters Sue Frank and Dawn (& David Schneider) Frank, nephews Adam and Anthony Frank and niece Darcy Metcalfe.
