Obituary

Waylon Jesse Wilson, 39, of Monticello, (Carroll County) Indiana, died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at his residence.

Waylon was born on Saturday, February 22, 1986, in Kokomo, Indiana to Christina "Chris" (Brewer) Bowie and Keith Wilson. They survive.

Waylon was born in Kokomo, Indiana and raised in Maryland.  He owned and operated a mechanic shop and a residential construction company in Maryland and Monticello. Waylon was known for his hard-working ethic and his outstanding friendship to all that knew him.  He was the father he never had to be when he met Sheila, taking her kids in as his own. Waylon loved music and played guitar for many bands over the years.  He was crafty and made some of the most unique items out of nothing. Waylon was best known for his smart-ass mouth.

Waylon is survived by his mother, Christina Bowie of Preston, Maryland and family; companion Shelia Scott of Monticello, Indiana, children, Samatha (husband Jess') Campbell of Colburn , Indiana, Nichole (husband Aaron) Tucker, of Westfield, Indiana, Hannah (companion Adam) Scott, of Perrysville, Indiana, and Devin (companion Savannah) Scott of Monticello, Indiana;  grandson, Griffin Ray Tucker of Westfield, Indiana; and the rest of her family; brother, Robert Christopher, III of Virginia Beach, Virginia; best friend Josh Isom of Monticello, Indiana; children, Brian Isom and Alexa Isom of Monticello, Indiana, fur baby, Murder Face Molly Moo; so many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Waylon is preceded in death by sister, Jennifer Leanne Wilson, and Sheila's Father, Russell Shelton.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the Deibels Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the Deibels Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana with Pastor Russ Alley of the Yeoman United Methodist Church Officiating.

Private family burial in Maryland will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Waylon's Memorial Fund, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
