William Fiscus, 83, of Idaville, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2024. Bill was born to the late Virgil and Gladys (Franklin) Fiscus on Wednesday, August 20, 1941, in Washington, Indiana.
On Tuesday, December 20, 1960, William married the love of his life Ada (Gainey) Fiscus, in Epsom, Indiana, and she survives.
Bill joined the United States Air Force in July of 1959 and was discharged in July of 1963. After serving his country, Bill worked as an electrician at NIPCSO where he dedicated over 32 years of service working at the substation.
In his free time, Bill was a member of the Legion Post 81 in Monticello, and the Methodist Church. Bill also enjoyed playing golf and enjoyed playing cards with friends, his most cherished past time was spent with family.
Surviving Bill include his wife; Ada Fiscus of Idaville, Indiana, son; Steven (Kimberly) Fiscus, daughter; Donna (Kevin) Mayhill, son; Norman (Sandy) Fiscus, grandchildren; Stacie Fiscus, Ashley (Stan) Reid, Shawn Fiscus, Heather Fiscus, Jessica (Derek) Crawn, Garrett (Paige), great- grandchildren; Damien Fiscus, Adilynn Grace, James, Kamyrn, Shiley, Gabe, Abigail, Ryot, Jordyn, Dameon, Delilah Rose, Courtney Crawn, Oakley Lingham.
Bill was preceded in death by brothers; Robert "Bob" Fiscus, Kenny Fiscus, sister; Alice Jean Amstutz, father-in-law- Lee Van Gainey, mother-in-law; Edna Gainey, sister-in-law; Leona Boyd.
A funeral service honoring the life of William will be held at 1 pm, on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Deibels Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Duke officiating, located at 601 Gordon Road, in Monticello. Friends may visit with the family from 11 am until the time of the service. A private family burial will be held immediately following.
